You are interested in music? You would like to be part of a band and your age is between 16 and 27? This could be something for you then – welcome and continue reading 🙂 Sounds United is a music project to connect young people from Potsdam and refugees who live in or around Potsdam. Get in contact with other musicians, start networking and join one of our two bands. Bandcoaches will be at your side during the whole band process with their help & input. Together with your bandmembers and coaches you are going to decide what you would like to do: writing own songs, play coversongs, learn to play other instruments, etc.

In addition you will have the possibility to play own concerts, to join music workshops and to be a part of a great community. Important info: the project is free of costs and you do not need own equipment. At the moment, the band „SOUL“ has it´s rehearsal on mondays (20.00 – 21.30Uhr), the other band on fridays (19.00 – 20.30Uhr) at Jugendtreff Clubmitte (Freiland). You can join in anytime. „Sounds United“ ist ein interkulturelles Bandcoaching – Projekt auf dem freiLand Gelände. Wenn du zwischen 16 und 27 Jahre alt bist, Bock auf eine Band hast, Songs covern und/oder schreiben, neue Leute kennenlernen und von erfahrenen Bandcoaches lernen möchtest, bist du hier goldrichtig! Bei „Sounds United“ dreht sich alles um das Musik machen. Musikalische Vorerfahrung ist hierbei praktisch, aber kein Muss. „Sounds United“ soll junge Menschen mit und ohne Fluchthintergrund zusammenbringen, vernetzen und musikalisch aktivieren. Eurer Kreativität sind dabei fast keine Grenzen gesetzt. Doch Bandproben sind nicht alles 😉 Im Laufe der Zeit könnt ihr auf ersten kleinen Konzerten zeigen, was ihr drauf habt. Auch bieten wir über das Jahr verschiedene Workshops an, veranstalten Jam Sessions, nehmen Songs auf, usw.

Okay und wie läuft das nun ab?
Eure Band probt wöchentlich in einem vollausgestatteten Proberaum im Jugendtreff Clubmitte, gemeinsam mit eurem Bandcoach. Aktuell finden die Bandproben der Band „SOUL“ Montagabends statt (20.00 – 21.30Uhr), die der anderen Band jeweils am Freitagabend (19.00 – 20.30Uhr).

Was muss man noch wissen?
Das Projekt ist kostenfrei! Du brauchst kein eigenes Equipment, sondern lediglich dich und Lust auf Musik. Du kannst jederzeit einsteigen, also schreibe uns bei Interesse einfach eine Nachricht via Instagram, Facebook oder Mail (soundsunited@freiland-potsdam.de).
