Offene Sitzung März
NEIN zur BEZAHLKARTE
Mittwoch, 26.03.2025 | 17–19 Uhr | online
Die Bezahlkarte und damit leider auch ein weiteres Instrument der Diskriminierung hält nach und nach Einzug in weitere Landkreise. Anstelle von Scheck, Bargeld oder direkter Überweisung auf ein eigenes Konto sind geflüchtete Personen nun dazu gezwungen mit der Bezahlkarte zu zahlen. Sie verhindert, dass betroffene Personen frei über ihr Geld verfügen können, und macht ihr Leben unnötig schwerer. Mit der Einführung wird auf rassistische Symbolpolitik gesetzt. Statt Lösungsansätzen schafft die Bezahlkarte ein System der Kontrolle und Überwachung. Wir und viele andere wollen genau das verhindern und sagen deswegen ganz klar: Nein zur Schikanekarte!

Themen der offenen Sitzung sollen sein:
1. Wir tauschen – solidarisiert euch
In einigen Orten haben sich bereits solidarische Menschen zu Wechselstuben zusammen gefunden, um den betroffenen Menschen zu mehr Bargeld zu verhelfen. Wie diese Wechselstuben oder andere Formen der Solidarisierung aussehen können, wollen wir gern in der offenen Sitzung besprechen und gern auch weitere Menschen zum Tausch animieren.
2. Nur Probleme? Oder auch Lichtblicke!
Außerdem wollen wir sammeln, welche Probleme bereits in den einzelnen Landkreisen bestehen, um die Bezahlkarte weiterhin öffentlich problematisieren zu können. Zum Beispiel wissen wir bereits, dass in Ostprignitz-Ruppin Menschen angehalten werden, ihre Deutschlandtickets zu kündigen oder in Oberhavel haben teilweise auch berufstätige Menschen eine Bezahlkarte erhalten. Im Landkreis Barnim gibt es dagegen noch Kämpfe gegen die Einführung der Bezahlkarte überhaupt!
3. Widerspruch, Klage, Vollstreckung
Es gibt auch rechtliche Möglichkeiten, sich gegen die Bezahlkarte zu wehren bzw. zumindest gegen die engen Bargeldbeschränkungen. Wir diskutieren Möglichkeiten, Chancen und Hürden.

NO to the PAYMENT CARD

The payment card and thus unfortunately another instrument of discrimination is gradually finding its way into more districts of Brandenburg. Instead of cheques, cash or direct transfers to their own bank accounts, refugees are now forced to pay with the payment card. This prevents them from being able to freely dispose of their money and makes their lives unnecessarily difficult. The introduction of the card is based on racist symbolic politics. Instead of providing solutions, the payment card creates a system of control and surveillance. We and many others want to prevent precisely this and therefore say quite clearly: No to the discrimination – not to the payment card!

The topics of the open meeting will be
1. We Swap – Show Solidarity
In some places, people in solidarity have already come together to form exchange offices to help the people affected to get more cash. We would like to discuss what these exchange offices or other forms of solidarity could look like in the open meeting and also encourage other people to exchange.
2. Only Problems? Or also Rays of Hope!
We also want to collect information on the problems that already exist in the individual districts so that we can continue to publicly problematise the payment card. For example, we already know that in Ostprignitz-Ruppin people are being encouraged to cancel their Deutschlandtickets and in Oberhavel some people who work have also received a payment card. In the district of Barnim, on the other hand, there are still battles against the introduction of the payment card at all!
3. Objection, Legal Action, Enforcement
There are also legal options to defend yourself against the payment card or at least against the tight cash restrictions. We discuss the possibilities, opportunities and hurdles.
