Eine Ausreise aus Afghanistan ist momentan sehr schwierig. Wir versuchen daher auf dieser Seite laufend aktuelle Informationen und Hinweise bereit zu stellen, die uns dazu erreichen und die wir finden. Wir können allerdings keine Gewähr dafür geben, dass die Ausreise auf einem dieser Wege tatsächlich möglich ist.

1) Vor Ort am Flughafen Kabul
Eines der großen Probleme im Moment ist überhaupt erst einmal zum Flughafen Kabul und zu den Evakuierungsflugzeugen gelangen zu können. Laut Medienberichten vom 19.8. sind einerseits die Straßen zu den Flughafen-Eingängen völlig verstopft und teils unpassierbar. Außerdem werden die Checkpoints innerhalb der Stadtgrenzen von den Taliban kontrolliert. Zudem gibt es Kontrollen der Taliban in unmittelbarer Umgebung des Flughafens. Andererseits werden auch bei den Flughafen-Eingängen angeblich nicht nur die Personen ohne Dokumente sondern teilweise sogar selbst deutsche Ortskräfte nicht vorgelassen.
Das Auswärtige Amt empfiehlt deutschen Staatsangehörigen die aus Afghanistan ausreisen wollen, sich zum militärischer Teil des Flughafen Hamid Karzai International Airport, und dort vor das NORTH GATE zu begeben. Außerdem verweisen sie auf klare Gepäckeinschränkungen (es soll nur das Nötigste mitgenommen werden: Bargeld, Pass- und Ausweisdokumente, 1 Handgepäckstück mit max. 8 kg Gewicht, sowie Wasser und Verpflegung für 24 Stunden, ggf. Medikamente). Frauen und Mädchen wird dringend empfohlen, sich bei Bewegungen innerhalb der Stadt an entsprechende Kleidungsvorschriften zu halten.
Es ist zu vermuten, dass diese Hinweise auch für afghanische Staatsangehörige gelten, sofern sie auf Evakuierungslisten stehen (dies ist allerdings nur eine Annahme und keine gesicherte Information).

Leaving Afghanistan is very difficult at the moment. We therefore provide information and tips on this page on an ongoing basis as they reach us. However, we cannot guarantee that it will actually be possible to leave the country by one of these routes.
Please note: We are a civil society organisation that supports refugees in Germany. We are NOT involved in any application procedures ourselves, please contact the addresses listed below directly for this.
Note: Since 27 August, Germany has stopped evacuation flights from Afghanistan. At the moment we do not know whether and to what extent Germany will again evacuate people from Afghanistan or neighbouring countries.
According to information from the Foreign Office, the Federal Government is continuing to work on carrying out future evacuations, including for local staff.
We still recommend sending a threat report to the Federal Foreign Office.
1) On site at Kabul Airport
One of the big problems at the moment is getting to Kabul airport and the evacuation planes in the first place. According to media reports from 19 August, on the one hand the roads to the airport entrances are completely blocked and partly impassable. In addition, the checkpoints within the city limits are controlled by the Taliban. In addition, there are Taliban controls in the immediate vicinity of the airport. On the other hand, at the airport entrances, it is said that not only people without documents but sometimes even German local staff are not allowed to enter.
The German Foreign Office recommends German citizens who want to leave Afghanistan, to go to the military part of Hamid Karzai International Airport, and there to the NORTH GATE. In addition, they point out clear luggage restrictions (only the bare necessities should be taken along: Cash, passport and ID documents, 1 piece of hand luggage weighing max. 8 kg, as well as water and food for 24 hours, medication if necessary). Women and girls are strongly advised to follow appropriate dress codes when moving within the city.
It can be assumed that this advice also applies to Afghan nationals, provided they are on evacuation lists (this is, however, only an assumption and not confirmed information).

(c) For local staff of German organisations and for Afghans with a German residence title, the Federal Foreign Office set up an e-mail address a few days ago where people who want to or have to leave the country can be reported: 040.krise19@diplo.de
There is a form that can be used for the notification: Form for forwarding to the Foreign Office
When reporting persons, the following information must be included:
- Names of all persons
- Dates of birth
- Passport numbers
- Nationality
- Contact (mobile phone, e-mail address, etc.)
After sending, one does not receive any feedback. It means: If you do not receive an error message, it means that the mail was put through. Only the persons who are evacuated are contacted. (Unfortunately, the legal possibilities for people who do not belong to the above-mentioned group are very limited. For example, at present there are unfortunately no plans to evacuate persons awaiting family reunification).
Unfortunately, it cannot be assumed that the Federal Government will evacuate all local forces. Nor will other highly vulnerable groups of people be flown out. We therefore recommend that you enquire locally to what extent it is possible to leave the country for another state.
